Polyurethane foam faux stone panels is a decorative material simulating natural stone, made with polyurethane as the base material through multiple processes including mold pouring, foaming, coloring and texture carving.PU stone is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, creating an overall ambiance of upscale understated luxury.
Though it is not real stone, it delivers textures, weight perception and contour undulations close to genuine rock. Containing no cement or sand aggregate, it only has 1/10-1/8 the density of natural stone. It feels slightly flexible, resists breaking upon dropping, and its surface can be finished in matte, weather-look, moss-stained smudge and other effects.
This material was already applied in film-and-television set design and theme-park landscaping back in the 1990s.
